Introduction to Cowboy Dressage #2 Led by Nancy and David Broce . Limit of 8 riders per clinic.
In this class you will practice many things you will use in everyday riding: walking, trotting, backing, stopping. You will work on geometry: straight lines, large and small circles, transitions from one gait to another, speeding up and slowing down, changing directions. You will then take these movements onto a court and perform a specific pattern on the court. You will be asked to change gaits and directions as smoothly as possible, to follow the pattern, to use the softest cues possible, to work with your horse in partnership to get this accomplished.
Cowboy Dressage is something you can do for a lifetime and the only one you are really competing with is yourself. It helps your horse develop a strong and healthy body that will extend his or her useful life, and does the same for you. It helps you and your horse learn to really listen to each other.
